The transformation of this trivet from compact object to large footprint is its key feature. It allows for compact storage and quick and easy deployment.
The mechanism works on a similar principle to a popular twin arm cork screw. A simple pull on either end brings the arms swiftly out providing a large heatproof surface for pots.
